Currently I have the problem, that I would like to add a massive amount of users to a board. Unfortunately, I am not sure how to that in a easy way. Do you have any hints?

Do you mean this existing feature? #5098

With environment variable at Docker/Source:

DEFAULT_BOARD_ID=

Or Snap:

sudo snap set wekan default-board-id='......'

It requires that OIDC/OAuth2 login is used.

Board ID is at URL of your WeKan board:

https://boards.yourcompany.com/b/BOARD-ID-HERE/BOARD-TITLE-HERE

That feature is for adding all users to board.

If you instead would like create some Teams or Organizations, those can be added at Admin Panel / Teams or Admin Panel / Organizations, and then adding users there at Admin Panel / People , at web UI or using API, using API example like api.py at https://github.com/wekan/wekan , and API docs at https://wekan.github.io/api/ . Then at board add some Team or Organization to board.

There is upcoming fixes to Teams and Organizations, so that changes to those groups would affect all boards those Teams and Organizations are. Also, there are other new features coming related to Teams, like adding some email domain to some Team.

Thank you for the hint! Unfortunately I have installed an old Wekan version via Snap. How exactly can I upgrade the version without losing the data?

Snap Stable WeKan 6.09 will have automatic update to newest WeKan 7.x, when I have fixed upgrading code, sometime at Q1 2024. So just wait.
