Boards spontaneously duplicate?

I am in the process of moving from Trello to a self-hosted Wekan server.

I have followed the instructions and have successfully set up the server and imported a Trello board, including users and everything seems to work perfectly well.

However, somehow the imported board tends to spontaneously duplicate, I have already archived 3 copies and now I have two more. I am no sure how the duplication happens - it it certainly not done on purpose. I feel that the first copies happened when I assigned an organization to the board, but this might have been random rather than a correlation.

I expect that if this is bug, it would have been noticed long ago, so I expect I am somehow doing something wrong, but I cannot figure out what? Can any experienced users help?

At All Boards page, BoardAdmin and Admin can hover over board icon, and see button Duplicate Board. If admins are not careful enough, they can duplicate board by accident.

I'll think about some better design for this.

I am quite sure this is not what happened. I am aware of that button and even though I agree that this is a design that could be approved, I strongly feel that I could not possibly have pressed this button five times without noticing.

Is there a log where I can see when the boards where created and is it possible (maybe via command line access) to completely remove all these copies and not only archive them?

Admin can click right top your name / Archive. There you can restore or delete boards.

Ah! Thank you, that at least helps in clearing out the problem.

In some cases, some also use cleanup script https://github.com/wekan/wekan-cleanup , but it can also sometimes be dangerous, so it's good to make backups with mongodump (restoring with mongorestore, see https://github.com/wekan/wekan/wiki/Backup) and copy of /var/snap/wekan/common when WeKan is before that stopped (sudo snap stop wekan) if there is files/attachments, when WeKan Snap is stopped. But that's usually not needed.

Thank you so much for helpful answers. One more thing; I now realize that my version page says WeKan Version 6.09.0. However, sudo snap refresh claims that all snaps are up to date? I am on Ubuntu 22.04 and installed using the guide on the Wekan webpage?

Well, there are some options:

a) Wait for automatic upgrade of Snap Stable, where 6.09 will be automatically upgraded to 7.x, attachments migrated, etc. I'm currently adding fixes to make migrating work correctly.

b) Install Snap Candidate WeKan 7.x:

sudo snap install wekan --channel=latest/candidate

And then add all your data, users, etc.

There is difference about more than one year of updates between 6.09 and newest 7.x
