can't select a script

I use the picker to select a script on my MacBook Air using Monterey. When I press Return, the picker goes away and the Boop screen is not changed.
Help?

Hey there, could you maybe send me a video of the scripts not working? It would help if you tried multiple scripts as an example (especially the test script if possible). Thanks!
