We use Android Mediastore which scans for all the media on the phone (music, photos, etc.)
The .nomedia file makes the mediastore skip that folder and not scan it, so Retro doesn't display it.

For the album covers showing in your gallery, you can create a Powershell or Bash script to add a .nomedia file in every sub directory of the music folder.
