It's been a bit of a journey getting things to work reliably but I think I've finally managed to get things stabilised (at least over the last 3 day period) so I thought I'd share some ideas which may help others in the same boat:
If you have V3s forget Wyze's beta RTSP implementation and get wyze mini hacks and enable the go2rtc server on them
Try to avoid V2s as I bricked 1 camera trying the mini hack install
Just access the 1 video stream from the camera. If you need more than 1 then use the restream feature on Frigate
If you are on proxmox 7, upgrade to 8 immediately. The new kernel is a huge improvement in stability and I can also now get CPU stats passed through You may need to add
cap_add:
- PERFMON
- SYS_ADMIN
to your docker config for this to work.
5. I'm on Frigate 0.13.2. So far so good. I've had no FFMPEG crashes in the last 3 days (however I'm still getting some slow memory leakage which used to always eventually result in a sudden 100% memory spike which required a restart, when on Proxmox 7). Will see if this happens eventually and raise an issue if it does.
6. My USB Coral works fine although I still got 1 stuck detection message even with a powered hub over the period. Currently waiting on a new USB3.2 cable to see if this works better.
