XL9535 integration with right pinout

i see the xl9535 integration, but the pinouts 16 and 17 cant work in home assistant because GPIO cant support more than 0-15 pin,

sadly the actual integration dont see this issue, i see the pcf8575 and have the correct pinout define, but xl9535 dont have this.

i buy this relay board, and the seller sended me some arduino codes with library, i dont know how to integrate with esphome.

Why are you trying to use 16 and 17?

So it's fine. There are still only 16 pins. P10 is 8, P11 is 9, ..., and P17 is 15.

You're misunderstanding. The datasheet says P10, but in esphome you use 8. We don't skip the numbers.

I use 8 and 9 in esphome, because gpio cant handle 16 and 17, but nothing happend when i put these numbers in the actual integration of xl9535

Sorry, you are correct, the component is wrong. It does use the datasheet numbers, but then it only accepts up to 15... I'll see about getting that fixed.

Try adding this to your yaml:

and use pin numbers 16 and 17.

Ignore that error and try compiling it. I think the editor doesn't pick up changes like this.

I just fixed the component to accept the higher pin numbers (and reject 8 and 9 in case someone tries it).
