Scroll Position Issue: Starting at Bottom of Page When Moving to Next Chapter/Subchapter #2130

Bug report

OS information

  • Operating System: Windows 10
  • Browser Version: Firefox 121.0.1

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open DevDocs.io in your browser.
  2. Navigate to [specific chapter/subchapter].
  3. Scroll down to the bottom of the page.
  4. Click on the link to move to the next chapter/subchapter.
  5. Observe that the next page starts at the bottom rather than the top.

Firefox 122 on Ubuntu 22.04, same observed behavior. Rather annoying.

Also happens on Firefox 123.0.1 on Mac Ventura (13).

I'll note that you don't have to click on the link to move to the next subchapter... you can click on any link to go to a different chapter and the page stays at the same scroll position, rather than resetting to the top.
