Pixelitor version: 4.2.1
Java version: 1.8.0_222
OS: Windows 10 x64

Reproducibility: Depends on available Font Types / Always
Severity: S5 Trivial
Priority: P3 Low
Component: Functional

Summary:
When applied to following Font Types:
– Sylfaen,
– Onyx,
– Calibri Light
– Bodoni MT Poster Compressed,
Text Effects have gaps or cutouts (see screenshots). Amount of such flaws gradually decreases with increase of Font Size. Visual flaw affects all Text Effects, but it is mostly noticeable on Glow and Neon Border effects.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Run the Pixelitor.
  2. Create a new image (Ctrl + N).
  3. Open the interface for adding and editing text (Filter -> Text...).
  4. Add text and set Font Type to Sylfaen.
  5. Set Font Size to 83.
  6. Enable Glow Effect.
  7. Set the Opacity to 100 and Width to 40.

Expected result: Text is surrounded by smooth one-colored Glow effect.
Actual result: Glow effect is uneven and it has gaps which locations and forms change as Font Size is changed. With Font Size value of 240 and more, there are no signs of the bug.
