Git bash terminal: dropping characters in script execution

Does this issue occur when all extensions are disabled?: Unsure

• VS Code Version: 1.89.1
• OS Version: Windwos 10 Enterprise 22H2 19045.4291

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Open a git bash terminal
2. Run "conda activate "

Error: Folder c:\Usersmyusername\AppData\Localanaconda3.... not found

For some reason the terminal is dropping 's between some of the directories. I tried with a dedicated Git Bash terminal and there were no issues.

This only started being a problem after installing 1.89. I reverted to 1.88 and the problem is resolved.
