I'm doing something similar to this in our workflow (GitLab Merge Request title).
I have a job that runs on merge requests that validate the MR title to make sure its following conventions. So, I'm not enforcing style on commits, but I am on MRs.
@jkroepke I was searching for what commit message conventions release-it using to decide the major / minor / patch version; but didn't any specific document. Can you point me to the document?
Hi,
I have a open source monorepo project where I can't guarantee that all commits having the conventional commits message style.
Instead commit messages, I would like to ask if its possible to use pull request label as source, if the next version is major, minor or patch.
I'm already using labels for the automatic release notes and I would to continue this pattern.
