lenovo ideapad flex lively crashes explorer.exe when swappping between tablet mode and desktop #2024

Describe the bug
If I switch between tablet mode and desktop mode by physically folding my laptop explorer.exe crashes

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Have a wallpaper
  2. swap between tablet mode and normal mode and vice versa
  3. explorer.exe crashes
  4. if it crashes more than twice get an error that lively experienced fatal error

Expected behavior
A clear and concise description of what you expected to happen.

Desktop (please complete the following information):

  • OS: [windows 11(not sure of exact version and cant check but it is the latest version as of this post and it is on 23h2)]
  • fluids
    Additional context
    My guess is it is because of some lenovo thing (lenovo has a lot of popups and stuff that could get in the way) or it could be because of the new redesigned tablet mode in win11

Log file (Important)
Share the diagnostic files by:
Open Lively settings (Gear icon) top-right -> System -> Log File -> Save
or
Navigate to Appdata folder C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local\Lively Wallpaper\logs

My guess is it is because of some lenovo thing (lenovo has a lot of popups and stuff that could get in the way) or it could be because of the new redesigned tablet mode in win11

Should be easy to verify by disabling lenovo services and apps and trying to reproduce the crash.

This one is going to be hard for me to diagnose since I neither have a lenovo device nor any windows tablet.

I think there are ways to emulate the switch into tablet mode vut not easily

I think there are ways to emulate the switch into tablet mode vut not easily

In Windows 10, tablet mode is available in settings (> System > Tablet > Additional tablet settings) as a toggle switch.
