Hello friends! 👋

You are probably here because I build and maintain Overseerr. So let me tell you a little about myself and why I do what I do.

Who am I?

I am Ryan (sct). I live in Tokyo, Japan, and I work full time here at a Japanese software company. I have a daughter that takes a lot of the little free time I have, and the rest of that time is used for either gaming or working on my OSS projects such as Overseerr. I have been an engineer for well over 15 years. I have built and still work on the Technic Platform, a system to help Minecraft players distribute and install Modpacks. Most of what we did over there is also OSS. You can find it on my profile!

Overseerr

I started building Overseerr around August 2020. Due to the nature of the year and how much time we have spent indoors, I have found a reasonable amount of spare time to build what we see today. Overseerr is the culmination of over a decade of web development experience. I am always trying to hone my skills and become a better engineer. And I have poured everything I know (and everything I have learned along the way) into this application.
