Hello 👋 I'm Sam

A Lead Magento Engineer, specialising within the Performance, Security and Site Reliability niche.

History

Alongside the regular Magento Development, Optimisations, Bug Fixing, and day to day SI work.
Spearheaded the development and integration of various DevOps services for Magento Development:

  • Self Hosted Observability suite including Sentry.Io and Grafana
  • GitOps Empheral (feature) Hosts via Docker
  • E2E Test Suite and merge gate against the pre-production store
  • Automated Module and Store updates restrictured by the E2E testing merge gate.
  • Hashicorp Vault for SSH Cert Signing & Managed secrets (composers auth.json, ENV variables etc)
  • Distributed Hosting - Kubernetes, Single VPS, Dedicated Servers with High Availability, Multi Availablity Zones, AutoScaling etc
  • Infrastructure Management through Ansible, Terraform, AMIs, Docker Containers
